Facing strong opposition from President Truman and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Douglas MacArthur launched a massive invasion of the port of Inchon and went on to recapture Seoul, turning the tide of the war. When the North Koreans retreated to their homeland, MacArthur followed them, assuring a skeptical Truman that the Chinese would not enter the war. Little did he know that Chairman Mao was sending a quarter-million troops into North Korea to repel the Americans and take the whole peninsula. In 1942 Japan invades Indonesia. In East Java several kiais (kiai, a venerated elders of a pesantren/Islamic learning institution) from different pesantrens are arrested on account of fomenting resistance. KH (Kiai Haji, or Hajj Kiai) Hasyim Asy’ari as the leader of Pondok Pesantren Tebu Ireng is arrested because he fights against the Japanese. The arrest causes insurgence in Tebu Ireng and provokes reactions from his sons, namely KH Wahid Hasyim, Karim Hasyim and Yusuf Hasyim, not to mention a host of santris (students at pesantren) such as Baidlowi (Hasyim As’ari’s son-in-law), Kang Solichin (Hasyim’s confidante) and three others Harun, Kamid and Abdi.

This Close Combat V mod covers the Battle of Surabaya. Roughly 20,000
Indonesian troops of the newly formed People's Security Army and over
100,000 militias defending the city of Surabaya against the 24,000
strong British 5th Indian Division and 6,000 men of 49th Brigade, 23rd
Indian Division with tanks, naval, artillery and air support.
The mod is an exhaustive remake of stock CC5. You will see all new
graphics, hear new sounds, and experience a very different atmosphere.
British Far East troops have been researched for historical accuracy,
including British, Indian and Gurkha teams never before seen in the
game. The Indonesian army and militia order of battle are comprised of
almost entirely new units for CC5, and some of the teams are quite
outlandish. You will see lot of weapons and equipment rarely seen in
CC5, including exotic traditional weapons.
We hope CC players will have a lot of fun playing a mod set in one of
the forgotten exotic theaters at the tail end of WW2.

Axis of War part 3 : Night Raid (2010)
The third part in the ‘Axis of War’ of trilogy (following ‘The 1st of August’ and ‘My Long March’), ‘Night Raid’ throws the viewer straight into the action (quite literally) with a Chinese rail yard coming under heavy fire from Japanese planes. Surviving the mass destruction, a platoon of Chinese soldiers retreat from the front lines and make their way across land, forever hounded by Japanese scout planes. While on their journey they discover a hidden Japanese air base, responsible for housing the planes that are constantly slaughtering the Chinese. Instead of continuing their retreat, the plucky platoon hatch a plan to destroy the airbase, under the cover of night, and bring down Japan's unrelenting air support.
